People often underestimate what’s involved in renovating an older property. This can lead to delays, budget blow-outs and work being redone. To help avoid any issues, we’ll share our expertise up front.

To start with, we’ll come to the site and run through your requirements. An experienced electrician will check your current wiring and switchboard, to ensure it can handle the new electrical installation. We’ll then provide a comprehensive estimate for the job.

Properties built before 1970 frequently have an outdated mains connection and old rubber cabling. This can disintegrate over time and become a fire hazard. Ageing switchboards may contain asbestos, which becomes a real problem when adding new circuits. Even if you’ve previously rewired the building and upgraded the switchboard, it’s smart to take a fresh look before starting the rebuild.
