Ventilation and Heat Transfer

At Laser Electrical Auckland Central we’ll help you specify and install a ventilation system that suits your lifestyle. We partner with the leading suppliers of home ventilation and heat transfer systems so we know how to make them perform at their best.

We also install and repair most brands of kitchen range hoods, so we can install a product you’ve sourced or obtain a competitive quote direct from the manufacturer.

Once your new heat transfer or ventilation system is installed, we’ll arrange to have it serviced regularly. At Laser Electrical Auckland Central we have strong relationships with the manufacturers, so parts and maintenance won’t be an issue. If you have a rental property, you’ll need to meet the New Zealand Healthy Homes standards relating to ventilation in tenanted properties. The following rules have been in force since July 2019:

• Kitchens: In any room with a cooktop, fans or rangehoods installed after 1 July 2019 must have a minimum diameter (including ducting) of 150mm or an exhaust capacity of at least 50 litres per second.
• Bathrooms: In any room with a shower or bath, fans installed after 1 July 2019 must have a minimum diameter (including ducting) of 120mm or an exhaust capacity of at least 25 litres per second.
